The exam
New Jersey licenses electrologists through New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners — Electrologists Advisory Committee. Candidates sit the CPE (IBEC) examination and the New Jersey Electrology Jurisprudence Examination (N.J.A.C. 13:35-12.6).
Training: 600 hours.
New Jersey tests electrologists with the CPE (IBEC) examination; New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners — Electrologists Advisory Committee publishes no content outline. This practice test follows the NIC National Electrology theory model (45 % scientific concepts · 55 % electrology procedures and services), the only national electrology blueprint published in the US.
We do not cover the New Jersey Electrology Jurisprudence Examination. New Jersey requires a jurisprudence exam under N.J.A.C. 13:35-12.6; the Board does not publish its content. Our practice tests cover the written electrology theory New Jersey tests, and nothing here prepares you for that separate component — plan for it from the board's own materials.
