The exam
North Carolina licenses electrologists through North Carolina Board of Barber and Electrolysis Examiners. Candidates sit a Board-written written exam and a practical exam.
Training: 600 hours of school or a 625-hour apprenticeship; $125 application. A laser hair practitioner must be a licensed electrologist with a 30-hour laser course and a physician supervisory agreement.
