The exam
Florida licenses electrologists through Florida Department of Health — Board of Medicine, Electrolysis Council. Candidates sit the IBEC “Electrology, Laser and IPL Exam-FL”, delivered by Prometric.
Training: 320 hours (120 theory and 200 practical); licences expire 31 May of even years.

This practice test follows the NIC National Electrology theory model (45 % scientific concepts · 55 % electrology procedures and services), the only national electrology blueprint published in the US.
We do not cover the laser and IPL portion of Florida's exam. Florida's version of the IBEC exam covers laser and IPL hair removal, which Florida electrologists may perform after the required training. Our practice tests cover the written electrology theory Florida tests, and nothing here prepares you for that separate component — plan for it from the board's own materials.
